Charles G Sawyer

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles G Sawyer, affectionately known to his loved ones as Charlie. Born on September 2, 2011, in Upland, Charlie's brief yet impactful journey came to a close on December 8, 2024, in Loma Linda. He was just 13 years old.

Charlie was a vibrant spirit who brought joy and laughter to all those privileged to know him. He embraced life with an enthusiasm that was contagious. It was not uncommon to see him wandering the neighborhood on long walks or playing basketball at the local courts, his laughter ringing through the air as he shared moments with friends. His passions extended beyond sports; Charlie delighted in drawing and found great joy in the world of video gaming, often immersing himself in adventures on his beloved PS5.

Family held a central place in Charlie’s heart. He cherished every moment spent with his family, eagerly attending gatherings and reunions where he created lasting memories with his cousins and especially adored spending time with his nieces. His warmth and compassion were pillars of his character, and his boundless love for others left a profound impact on those around him.

Charlie is survived by his devoted father, Thomas Sawyer, and his loving mother, Sofia Sawyer. Also mourning his loss is his cherished cousin, Yvette Jacquez. Their lives have been forever enriched by the love and laughter he brought into their world.

Services to celebrate Charlie's life will be held at Ingold Funeral and Cremation located at 8277 Juniper Ave, Fontana, CA. Visitation will take place on December 19, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be held the next day, December 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM, concluding at noon.

In this time of sorrow, we remember Charlie for the joy he spread and the love he shared freely. His bright light will forever beam in the hearts of his family and friends, reminding us all of the warmth of his spirit and the importance of treasuring every moment spent with loved ones. Rest in peace, dear Charlie. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
