Daryle Machacek, 85, of Yucaipa, CA, passed away on February 9, 2023 in San Bernardino, CA. He was born to Loy and Marie Machacek on May 16, 1937 in Albert Lea, Minnesota.
Daryle graduated from Austin High School and proudly served in the U.S. Army. He went on to work for Kaiser and California Steel as a steelworker.
Daryle met Dorothy Wambaugh and they shared 48 happy years of marriage together. Daryle was blessed with 4 step-sons, Cary, Kenny, Michael and Mark Snellings.
Daryle was an avid fisherman. He loved to travel and was able to see much of the United States. Daryle stayed active and was a member of the Eagles, VFW, American Legion and the Moose Lodge.
Daryle is lovingly survived by his wife Dorothy Machacek, 3 step-sons Kenny, Michael and Mark Snellings. He was a loving and devoted grandfather to his 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren who lovingly referred to him as Pappap. He is also survived by his brothers Verne, Ron and Kevin Machacek.
Daryle is preceded in death by his step-son Cary Snellings, his brother DeLyle Machacek and his sister Delores Foss.
A shelter service will be at 11:30am, Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Riverside National Cemetery, where Daryle will be laid to rest with his brothers in arms.
