Gertrude Olson

Gertrude Mae Olson, 89 years old, of Loma Linda, passed away on October 18, 2018 at Loma Valley Care Center in Loma Linda, California. She was born to Leslie Davidson and Florence Henry on August 18, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan.
Gertrude met and married the love of her life, Herbert V. Olson. Together they shared 47 years of marriage and had six sons; Richard, Ronald, Randall, Robert, Rodney and Roger. Gertrude loved her family and made it her life’s work to care for them and raise them.
Although raising her six sons was Gertrude’s primary purpose in life, she was a sales person for Sarah Covetry Jewelry. She kept busy after retirement with a business of selling phones and beanie babies. Gertrude enjoyed passing the time with friends playing cards, especially Phase 10. She spent her quiet time reading a good book or doing Crossword Puzzles. Old movies were a favorite pass time for Gertrude with her favorites being Gone with The Wind and Breezy. Gertrude also looked forward to her Globe Magazine every week.
Gertrude is survived by her children Richard, Ronald, Robert, Rodney and Roger. She is also survived by her grandchildren Alec, Ronnie Jr., Ammie, Tiffany, Robert, Theresa, Ashly, RJ, Victoria, Jenny, Janelle, Sarah, Aaron, Ashley, and Allison; and several great-grandchildren.
Gertrude is preceded in death by her husband Herbert V. Olson (August/1997) and son Randall Olson.
