On October 26, 2019, lifelong Fontana resident Jeffery Scott Connelly, 65,
passed away surrounded by family in the home he himself helped build
from scratch only 42 years earlier. Jeff was born on January 4, 1954 in
Corona, California to Mary Catherine (Kinsey) Connelly and Edward
Connelly.
Jeffery was a graduate of Fontana High School Class of 1972, and went on
to work at Kaiser Steel until the mill’s closing. In 1986, he met and fell head
over heels for his beloved wife, Maria. Together they raised 3 beautiful
children, all of whom were his pride and joy. He enjoyed spending his
Sundays glued to the television watching the Pittsburgh Steelers with his
family. He retired due to his health in 2014 from the Fontana Unified School
District. With all of his children grown and married, but still more love in his
heart to give, Jeff decided to adopt two rescue dogs.
Jeffery is survived by his wife Maria (Feria) Connelly; his son Alejandro
Gonzales and his wife Sidney; his daughters Amalia (Gonzales) Eberhardt
and her husband David, and Monica (Connelly) Greenwood and her
husband Kevin; his brothers, Chris and Todd Connelly; his five
grandchildren, Melody, Jason, Emily, Jameson, and Amalia; his first great
grandchild, Jameson; and his two loyal dogs Gatsby “Big Boy” Connelly
and Max “Little Man” Connelly.
Jeff’s Celebration of Life will be held at Ingold Funeral and Cremation on
November 9, 2019 at 11am. 8277 Juniper Avenue Fontana CA 92335.
