Joan Fields

Joan Evelyn Fields, 66, passed away surrounded by her family June 20, 2018. Born and raised in Fontana, California, Joan was a resident of Fontana for over 50 years. She moved to Riverside in 2003. She was the Assistant Director of Certificated Human Resources. Joan worked for the Fontana Unified School District for 37 years. She was very dedicated to her career and her family. Joan went back to college in September 1991 and graduated with her Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Cal State San Bernardino in December 2000.
She is survived by her brother Jim Thompson (Monica), sister Rosie Clark (Larry), her three children, Steve Howard (Christine), Michelle Johnston (Jeff), Becky Johnson (Chris). Joan was blessed and made her life revolve around her seven grandchildren, Allison and Drew Howard, Jacob and Matthew Johnston, Jayden, Christian, and Jordyn Johnson. Joan was preceded in death by her mother Evelyn Thompson. She was able to donate her organs and saved three lives. Her life was celebrated on June 28, 2018 and she was laid to rest at Green Acres Memorial Park.
