Michael Dean Lee passed in peace on August 22, 2018 at the age of 71. He was a strong, silent man who built his family on stability, respect and unconditional love. His example of what it means to be an exceptional husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend was surpassed by few.
Michael began his life on March 2, 1947 in Foley, Alabama. His parents, Eldorado Joshua and Thelma Earlene Lee, moved the family to Fontana, California in 1952. Michael served as a Military Policeman in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. While working as a general contractor and skilled craftsman, he attended Chaffey College, where he met his soul mate and best friend, Carole M. Sachse. They married in 1970 and welcomed two children, Michele Cristine and Michael Christian. Michael and Carole were married for 48 years and enjoyed being actively involved in their community. Michael loved nature, gardening, photography, woodwork, traveling and above all spending time with his family. Watching his grandchildren brought him endless joy and he dedicated many hours supporting them playing hockey and soccer. He was an avid fan of the NHL and loved the Anaheim Ducks. Michael obtained his Masters in Public Administration at Cal State University, San Bernardino, and retired as Supervising Code Enforcement Officer for the City of Fontana.
Many loved ones cleared the path for Michael, including his mother, his father and his older brother, Tracy and his wife, Bonnie. Loved ones that will miss him until they meet again are his wife, Carole; his children, Michele and Michael; his daughter-in-law, Louisa; his grandchildren, Trenton Brumfield, Jessica Endean, Darren Brumfield, Kasey Endean, Courtney Lee, and Michael Lee; his great-grandchildren, Easton Brumfield and Truett Brumfield; his sisters Deborah French and Thelma Christenson and their families; his mother-in-law, Mary Sachse; brothers-in-law, Ernest Sachse (Theresa), Michael Sachse (Denise); sisters-in-law, Susan Schlipf (Robert, deceased), Mary Thomas (Steven), Patricia Sachse-Neville (Brian), and Janine Sachse Hinkley (Robert); 22 nieces and nephews and their families; as well as countless other friends and family.
