Our beloved sister Nellie Hernandez, 84 years old passed away peacefully at her home in Fontana on April 5th. She was born on December 6th of 1932 in San Bernardino, California.
Nellie was a hard worker all her life and among her many jobs were, The Box factory in Fontana where she made many lifelong friends. Phototron in Rialto and lastly as an EVS attendant at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Fontana for 24 years. She also devoted many years caring for her beloved Grandparents Max and Salome till their passing. As the oldest of ten children Nellie was there to help guide her siblings and lend them a hand whenever she could.
Nellie is preceded in death by her Grandparents Max and Salome Aleman, her step-father and mother Homer and Ramona Magaña.
She is lovingly survived by her siblings, Brothers Edward Ortiz, John (Margie), Dan (Chris), Raymond and Robert Magaña all of Fontana and Sisters; Madaline and Inez Magañaof Fontana and Eva Magaña Rojas (Luis) of Beaumont , CA , and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
A visitation will be held at Ingold Funeral and Cremation on April 11th from 4pm – 8pm with a Rosary at 7pm. Her funeral mass will take place on April 12th at 10:00 am at St George Roman Catholic Church in Fontana followed by interment at Green Acres Memorial Park in Bloomington.
