Nubia Gutierrez

Nubia Del Rosario Gutierrez from Upland has passed away at the age of 70.
Nubia was born on September 6, 1952 in Managua, Nicaragua to parents Santos Lorenzo Gonzalez and Aura Ernestina Gonzalez. She was one of eleven children which consisted of Norma del Socorro Gonzalez, Maria Auxiliadora Gonzalez, Ligia R Gonzalez, Silvia del Carmen Gonzalez, Lorena Isabel Fariñas Gonzalez, Lourdes Gonzalez, Yovania Fatima Gonzalez, Santos Lorenzo Gonzalez, Javier Antonio Gonzalez, and Manuel Enrique Gonzalez.
Nubia went on to marry Rosendo Gutierrez. They shared 50 years of marriage. They had four children: Ruben Antonio Gutierrez, Daniel Enrique Gutierrez, Cesar Agusto Gutierrez, and Poldy Elizabeth Gutierrez. Their family expanded with the addition of fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Nubia became a teacher in Nicaragua but retired in her later years.
Family remembers Nubia as a big LA Dodgers fan, loved Nascar, arts and crafts, hiking, drawing and cooking. One of her favorite things to listen to was older Spanish music.
Nubia’s family will forever keep her memories in their hearts.
