Oscar Hernandez
April 21st 1984 - June 8th 2021
Oscar Hernandez, 37, was born on April 21, 1984 in Bellflower, California. He lived in the city of La Puente in his early childhood and later moved to Fontana, California. He graduated in 2004 from A.B Miller High School and continued his education at Chaffey College then transferred to California State University, San Bernardino where he graduated in 2013 earning his Bachelor’s degree with double majors in Public Relations and English.
Oscar was known by his friends as “Chucky/Chuck”, he was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, family and watching his favorite sport teams which include the Dodgers, Lakers and the Raiders. Oscar also enjoyed watching boxing and UFC fights. He occasionally enjoyed BBQing and was known to whip up something new and delicious in the kitchen. He was a warm, radiant and carefree individual who had a charismatic spirit. He had an amazing sense of humor and could light up any room with his presence and laughter.
He loved going to NASCAR races every year and tailgating bright and early. He went on numerous vacations with his friends and would come back with funny and exciting stories; Rosarito, MX., fishing trips and festivals. No one loved The People’s Court and police pursuits as much as Oscar did; notifications and alerts set! Oscar was definitely a free spirited and intelligent person. You could ask him about anything and he always seemed to have the answer (and was NEVER wrong). He was never afraid or too prideful to ask for help; even YouTubing it. His family will always remember him as the life of the party on 4th of July’s. Always the first to light fireworks either burning himself or someone else. Although, Oscar left us on June 8th, Tuesday at 0523 in the morning, each and everyone of us have special memories and a bond that we will never forget.
Oscar is survived by his loving father Alfonso Hernandez; brother Alfonso, Jr.; sister Ariana; as well as his sister-in-law Rosa, three nephews and two nieces, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Maria Hernandez in 2016, with whom he will reunite.
The Hernandez family would like to express their thanks to everyone for their loving thoughts, prayers, cherished memories and kind words during this difficult time.
