On Monday April 27, 2020 approx 2:30pm, Quenten Lee Nelson got his wings and transitioned into heaven. He was the son of Mrs. Catherine Nelson and Leroy Nelson. He was born on February 25, 1960. He attended Baltimore City Public Schools. Most of his childhood he lived in Baltimore. Around the age of 6 he and brother Morris Scrivens went to live with foster parents, the late Leonard and Gertrude Taylor. The Taylor's had one child Mary Lousie Yerby-Erving. Through this union Quenten had a foster family of 3 neices: Sandra, Stephaine & Terri, 3 nephews Anthony, Larry and Rodney as well as a host of friends on Riggs Ave and Poplar Grove in west Baltimore area.
He lived in Baltimore til the age of 35 when he chose to leave Baltimore and explore the world for the next 5yrs til he decided to make Calif his home.
He worked for Amerimax Industries in Romoland Calif for over 15yrs til he left and began working with In-home care clients & physical therapy. 2010 he met the love of his life Kathy Hayes and married May 19, 2012 (married 8-yrs) they enjoyed their lives together enjoying plenty of vacations with their travel business living a great life together. They organized different community events. (Hayes Events) then opening their own Que's Chicken & Waffles mobile business and Non-profit 501c(3) Uplifting Youth Foundation for youth.
He loved God and attended Agape Christian Fellowship for the last 8 yrs in Rancho Cucamonga where he was a deacon under Pastor Alan Nicholson. Quenten was a Great Husband, Father, Brother & Son and friends to many. He loved life and helping others. One on the nicest men you could meet. He was preceded in death by his only brother, Morris Scrivens. He leaves to mourn his wife of 8 years Kathy Nelson, mother Catherine Nelson (Baltimore), 3 daughters Tiesha Nelson (Baltimore), Keaira Nelson, and Alexis Kerley. (Fontana Calif.) 3-step children. Garland, DaMonica and DaMeeka Hayes ( Fontana Calif.) 5-sisters, Scarlette Lewis, Sherry, Sharon, Bridgette, and Terry Nelson (all of Baltimore). Father-n-Law James Kelly of Rialto Calif. Sister n Law Darlene Kelly, Brothers n Law: James & Tommy Kelly and a host of relatives, Foster Family, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and friends.
