Robert Martinez Jr., 42 of Rancho Cucamonga, passed away on December 12, 2018 at Kaiser Permanente in Fontana. He was born to Roberto Martinez Sr. and Berta Palomera on May 15, 1976 in Los Angeles, CA.
Robert attended Chaffey High School as a young man. He obtained his Certified Class A license and worked in the transit business for 10 years driving Limos, buses and diesel trucks.
In April of 1997, Robert married the love of his life Diana Alvarez and together they celebrated 21 years of marriage. Robert loved his wife and children with all his heart.
Robert enjoyed watching Pawn Stars and Storage Wars on his down time. He was an avid football fan who proudly cheered only one team, the San Francisco 49ers.
Robert loved the Lord and attended Living Way Christian Fellowship. He loved to invite people to church and share God's word with others. Robert was part of the “Whosoever Movement.” Robert believed wholeheartedly that “Whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” He made it a priority to help the youth and share Christ with them. Making people laugh brought him great joy. Robert will be remembered for the good hearted and caring man that he was.
Robert is survived by his wife Diana Martinez; daughter Vanessa Martinez; son Isaiah Martinez; and his nephews Matthew and Jacob Alvarez, whom he loved as his own. He is also survived by his mother Berta Palomera, siblings Judy Carrillo, David Martinez, Samuel Cabaruvias and Jennifer Cabaruvias; Robert’s mother-in-law Louisa Alvarez, whom he loved like his own; his sister-in-law Tanya Alvarez; his Tio and Tia Gilbert & Rosa Ramos, who had a major part in raising him; his Tia Blanca Martinez, who helped care for Robert when he was younger and many other cherished cousins and loved ones.
He is preceded in death by his father Roberto Martinez Sr.
