Rosario Valenzuela, 80, of Fontana, California, passed away on 5, August 2019 in San Bernardino, California. She was born October 7, 1938 in Jalisco, Mexico to Maria Auxilio Duran and Jose Rivera.
Rosario met and married the love of her life, Juan Santana Valenzuela and together they have shared 51 wonderful years of marriage and had three beautiful children: Elisa, Monica and David with their wonderful daughter-in-law, Susy.
Rosario made it her life’s work to care for and raise her family. Significantly family-oriented, Rosario was a loving mother and grandmother, loving to spend time with her nine grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Liam, Eion, Sarah, Viviana, Colleen, Nicolas, Sofia and Isabel. She enjoyed knitting and sewing, and she is well-known for her green thumb in gardening. From flowers, vegetables and plants, Rosario could grow and care for any vegetation she attempted extending her love and passion into her garden.
Rosario is survived by her children, nine grandchildren, and siblings Lupe, Eustaquio, and Filiberto. Rosario is preceded in death by her brothers Salvador, and Raul Rivera.
A visitation will be at 5:00 P.M., Wednesday 21, August 2019 at Ingold Funeral and Cremation, with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. A funeral mass will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday 22, August 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Covina, California. Rosario’s final resting place will be at Oakdale Memorial Park in Glendora, California, with a graveside service to follow the funeral mass.
