Shanay Lanette Castile-Ledbetter, 37 years old, of Highland, California, passed away on August 26, 2018 in Highland. She was born to Darryl R. Castile and Michelle Clavel on July 4, 1981 in Culver City, California.
Shanay attended and graduated from A.B. Miller High School in Fontana, class of 99. Later, she went on to pursue her License in Vocational Nuring and received it in 2003. Shanay had many dreams and was studying to become a special education teacher. Meanwhile, Shanay was a tax preparer for the County of San Bernardino.
Shanay loved her family and was happily married to her husband Victor L.K. Ledbetter, Sr. for 14 ½ years.
Shanay had a quiet nature about her. She enjoyed reading suspense novels and go to the library. Shanay loved creating memories with her husband and children going to amusement parks and spending countless hours with family. She was a woman of faith and was devoted to taking her kids to church. That always put a smile on her face. She simply was all about family!
Shanay is survived by her husband Victor Ledbetter; Son Victor Ledbetter, Jr.; daughter Mya Ledbetter; son Corey Ledbetter; daughter Laila Ledbetter; son Damon Ledbetter; and daughter Marie Ledbetter. She is also survived by her mother, Michelle Clavel, stepfather, Omar Clavel Sr., grandfather Donald Faison; grandmother Betty Castile; sisters and brothers; Sherrell Fairley, Michelle Fairley, Omar Clavel Jr., Patricia Clavel and Carlos Clavel; her father Darryl Castile, stepmother, Patrice Castile and sister Kiana Castile; her mother and father-in-law Marie and Patrick Armand; and countless aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
