"I wish I could share all the love that's in my heart & remove all the bars that keep us apart."
-Tizzi
Tizzianna, Tizzi, Marie Van Buren passed away at the young age of 27 in the City of San Bernardino on July 20, 2018. She was born, Oct. 22, 1990, to Jeffrey and Zoraya Van Buren. She was their one and only amazing child, their pride and joy.
Tizzi was not married and did not have any children. However, she was survived by an abundance of family and friends. She was always the light and laughter at any one of our gatherings. She leaves and incredible void in her grandmother's heart, as Tizzianna often told grandma, "Granma your my ride or die girl." She leaves behind some of the best aunties anyone could ever ask for: Auntie Nia, Auntie Kelly, and Julie. These women would walk thru fire to love her, support her, and to lift her when she was down. Tizzianna lost her father when she was 16 years old but she was fortunate that she had found a second father in her Uncle Chris. She was very over-protective of him and love to spend evenings just watching Shark Tank with him. She is also survived by her "Love", her baby sister, Zoey Lucille Bartley, Tizzianna picked out Zoey's middle name and for a minute I thought she would pick out the worst middle name she could think of, just to get even with Zoey, for forcing her to share mom. To my surprise she picked a name from one of her favorite songs "Lucy in the sky with diamonds" and every time she heard the the song, she would sing to Zoey " Lucy in the sky" and Zoey would say "that's my song." Unlike most people, Tizzi gained a sibling when she was 22. Although, they were twenty-two years apart, they were as close as any two siblings could ever be. Tizzianna would schedule sister-dates for just the two of them and mom was not allowed to tag along. They go to the "Pirate Park", make props for their dates, dress up, invite others and they have the most amazing adventures. She take her to the museum, the would fly kites at the park, or attend story time at the library. Zoey would follow Tizzi anywhere! When they came back home, I could never tell who was more excited or who had the best time. Tizzianna also leaves a handful of cousins behind, all which she loved dearly. The majority of her cousins did not live locally, with the exception of Travis, 9, her other love. She would have cousin- dates with him as well. Although, she did not get to see some of her Aunts and Uncles as often as she would of liked, she was grateful for every single member of her family. Tizzianna had just started new relationship but I could see that this was the start of that once in a lifetime love we all search for. I am thankful there was love in her life. Tizzianna leaves behind a stepfather who loved her as his own daughter and a mother who is heart broken and see's the world as a littles less bright, a little less funny and a lot more sadder.
Tizzianna attended Chaffy College and transferred to Humboldt University. She majored in History at Humboldt University and shortly before graduating, she decided to change her major and transferred to Cypress College to pursue a degree in Mortuary Science. She was always in pursuit of making the world a better place and to find her place were she could make it happen. She was passionate about love, religion, and politics. She believed that just a little bit of kindness could change the world.
Friendships came easy for Tizzianna. She was charismatic, funny, loving, quick witted, incredibly smart, and inclusive. She had life-long friendships. She kept in touch with her elementary, mIddle, high school, college and work friends. She had special group of friends that she referred to as "The Group". Some members of the group date back to middle and elementary days. They celebrate each other's accomplishments, they support each other, and push each other to be better. My daughter could not have a better group of friends.
Tizzianna's greatest accomplishments are that she loved deeply, completely, unconditionally and without regret. Those who loved her can attest to this. She loved to greet you with a kiss, a compliment, a joke, and she never shied away from telling you she loved you. She loved to bring people flowers and was always amazed a few flowers could bring so mush joy. She would always say everyone should get flowers.
Poem
Laughter
I.T starts with a tingle down in your soul,
And ends with a breathless chuckle you can't control.
The power of bringing a smile
To the coldest of faces.
The talent of bringing joy
In the darkest of places
Whether I.T was finding a joke
To ease the struggle
Or watching you brighten
With each new juggle
And although we are lost
And don't understand the path
I promise we will remember
How you made the world laugh.
